A newly announced National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) round of grant funding will help one Colgate professor to develop and run a three-week, residential institute about abolitionism and the Underground Railroad for 25 middle- and high-school teachers.

�������� is closing the books on a record-setting 2020–21 fundraising year, thanks to the generosity of Colgate alumni and other supporters.

Joseph Hernon, a military veteran, and firefighter with 10 years of emergency management experience will lead ��������’s emergency management operations after a nationwide search to fill the vacant role of associate vice president for campus safety, emergency management, and environmental health and safety. 

A total of 17,540 students, from 50 states and 146 countries, applied for admission to the Colgate Class of 2025, and 913 enrolled in the class, which has an average GPA of 3.77 out of 4.0, up from 3.69 in 2020.

Members of the �������� classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the Colgate Commitment.

Ahmet Çeli̇k, PhD candidate and instructor in religion and Middle Eastern studies at Syracuse University, has been appointed as the first campus imam and Muslim student adviser at ��������.
