Thirty-five seniors, eight juniors, and five alumni competed for nationally competitive fellowships, scholarships, and grants through Colgate during the 2011-2012 academic year.

What a weekend for 鈥榞ate athletics. Tell us in comments what you followed, either online or in person. Men鈥檚 Lacrosse The men鈥檚 lacrosse team set team and individual records while hosting the Patriot League finals at Andy Kerr Stadium.
The stage is set for a classic men鈥檚 college lacrosse showdown, as No. 11 Colgate will face No. 9 Lehigh at 3 p.m. Sunday at Andy Kerr Stadium for the Patriot League Tournament title and an automatic berth to next month鈥檚 NCAA Tournament.

Colgate welcomed Gabriel Bol Deng, a 鈥淟ost Boy of Sudan,鈥 to campus on Thursday. Gabriel fled Sudan when his village was attacked; years later he came to Syracuse, N.Y., as a refugee, and now he speaks about his experiences. He came to Colgate to speak about his organization Hope for Ariang.
Red spotlights hit the stage of the Palace Theater, illuminating Dao Anh Khanh鈥檚 silhouette behind an opaque sheet, on April 6. As the performance artist began to move, each of Khanh鈥檚 calculated motions was synchronized with alternating colored lights, powerful noise, musical harmonies, video, and smoke. The overall effect was like moving art.
Jessica Blank 鈥11, six months on the job at NBC Nightly News, already has filmed and edited a news segment that now is on the NBC website. And, to top it off, the segment features a fellow alumnus.
