�������� is an inaugural member of a new consortium of liberal arts colleges and universities finding creative solutions for addressing issues of racial equity and diversity on campus. 

As part of its Native American Heritage Month celebrations, ��������’s ALANA Cultural Center hosted a virtual panel on “Experiences of the Pandemic in the Native Americas” on Nov. 2.

Historically, young adults have the lowest rate of voter turnout of all groups. In 2016, only 48% of Colgate students voted. The Colgate Vote Project — a student volunteer organization — hopes to change that.

One of the facets of ��������’s strategy to detect signs of SARS-CoV2 on campus is the broad use of wastewater testing to find any early indications of spreading coronavirus. The plan received national attention, with news outlets like CBS mentioning the effort as a stand out among many of the college reopening plans across the country. 

Students from more than 70 student groups have joined together to form a super-organization, the Colgate Student Coalition, to raise bail funds for individuals arrested as part of protests that have swept the nation in the wake of George Floyd’s death. 

Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of ��������’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

Thought Into Action Incubator Hosts Virtual Venture Showcase

Last week, faculty and staff from several departments spearheaded an effort to provide and deliver care packages to 243 students in residence on campus.
