During April Visit Days in 2009, Vic Krivitski ’12 decided that Colgate needed a laugh. So, drawing on his skills as an avid climber, the 240-pound rugby lock took an unusual route from the fourth floor of West Hall to the Quad: he rappelled out the window, smiling and waving as he went.

Colgate is one of 32 universities taking part in a unique program created by Dartmouth College to combat binge drinking.


Colgate opened its classrooms and put campus life on display for hundreds of parents during Family Weekend 2011, held Oct. 28-30.  

This Saturday, while the Raiders prepare to defend their house before a crowd of Family Weekend supporters, President Jeffrey Herbst and his family will celebrate the rededication of their campus home, situated near the O’Connor Campus Center and the university observatory.
